Q&A with Nick Aguina

Nick, a special education teacher at Lakes, recently became a Google Certified Educator, Level 2. He has plans to continue to develop his Google know-how and to assist his District 117 colleagues with Google Apps for Education. In fact, he already has presented a Snack and Learn about Google Classroom at Lakes and has two more on the calendar for other Google topics. He also will be leading an ILC Do Something Cool in October. Read this Q&A to learn more about his certification experience as well as a few tips about Google Apps for Education.

It’s 2016. It’s tough, I know, but we need to train ourselves to train our students to think and work even more digitally. Less paper.

Diigo can help us with that. Diigo is a bookmarking tool with other functions to simplify the research process for students, including organizing, collaborating, and annotating. Our databases provide many of these same tools for articles students find within the database; Diigo, however, provides those tools for web resources.
