library advisory board
Want to make your voice heard in the Information and Learning Center (ILC), develop leadership skills, and have fun making new friends? The Library Advisory Board (LAB) is a place to share ideas for activities, materials, and changes to make the Information and Learning Center a destination for teens.
In addition to planning events for the entire school, LAB members also create club activities. Some activities for the school and club are: organize the Final Exam breakfast, attend a movie and have a book talk/pizza party, take a field trip to the Chicago Public Library, attend book talks, run reading contests, organize food and book drives, volunteer at the Feed My Starving Children charity, plan Teen Read Week activities, and develop a Poetry Slam for National Poetry Month.
We always welcome new members! Visit the LAB calendar for meeting information or talk to Mrs. Mason (barbara.mason@chsd117.org) for further information. Hope to see you at your next meeting!
