Gain access to helpful student resources with a card from the Antioch Public Library
 
Welcome back to school!  The Antioch District Library is here to support you through this unusual school year.  The library is currently open, but we are still encouraging users to sign up online for a temporary digital library card. This library card will be your ticket to access our extensive online research tools and downloadable content that can be accessed 24/7.

Also, the library offers printing and scanning services which are currently free of charge. You can send documents to be printed here.

Learning Resources 

• NEW! Lynda.com:  Lynda is on demand online videos on a range of in depth professional topics, including tutorials on hundreds of computer applications and  learning paths for career exploration.  If you are interested in a career in marketing, digital design, computer science or video or music production, Lynda will have a learning path for you.
• Brainfuse: provides free, online tutoring in many high school subjects from 2 p.m. - 11 p.m. each day. 
• Rosetta Stone: offers interactive learning of over 200 languages.
• Gale Courses: are online, instructor-led courses that cover a range of business and personal development topics.

Research Resources

• Gale Virtual Reference Library: provides access to hundreds of full-text specialty encyclopedias on a range of topics relating to social sciences, humanities and more.
• Master File: full text magazine articles, periodicals and reference books covering a wide-range of subject areas. Also includes an extensive image collection containing photos, maps and flags.
• NEW! Academic Source Premier: provides acclaimed full-text journals, magazines and other valuable resources.
• NEW! Points of View Reference Center: provides a balance of materials from all viewpoints with main essays, leading political magazines from all sides of the political spectrum, newspapers, radio and television news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books.

​Movies and Music  

• Freegal: makes available 5 free songs per week to download and keep from their extensive catalog of music.
• Hoopla: offers access to TV shows, movies and comics. Items are never checked out, but monthly downloads are limited.
• Kanopy: has over 30,000 films, including award-winning documentaries, film festival favorites, indie and classic films. Limited to 5 checkouts per month. 

 
E-books and E-audiobooks

• Hoopla: offers access to e-books and e-audiobooks. Items are never checked out, but monthly downloads are limited. 
• Libby: provides access to  e-book and e-audiobooks. The range of titles here is different than those offered by Hoopla.
