As we look at the changing digital landscape and the increasing need for e-learning opportunities, Ms. Mueller and I went looking for resources to expand our e-reading options.
It’s no secret that we offer e-reading with our AXIS360: Ebooks and Audiobooks service. However, did you know that e-content also includes magazines and newspapers? Now, through June 30, we are participating in an RBdigital trial to determine interest in purchasing these products for next year.

10. Our Magic Wall eases your search for an ebook or audiobook that's right for you. Lakes hosted the inaugural NLCC Battle of the Books on Thursday, February 21. Eight teams from five NLCC schools participated in the challenge, which began in October. Congratulations to The A Team from Antioch Community High School for winning first place! The New York Times is hosting their 5th Annual 15-Second Vocabulary Video Challenge. This challenge invites students to create a short video that teaches a vocabulary term. Deadline is February 23. Interested? Click here for more information.
Admit it. As much as we want students to use databases for a majority of their research needs, many students will still choose to search via Google. Now, instead of students having to choose, Gale’s Opposing Viewpoints in Context database offers the ability to search database content alongside Google search results.
Better searches. Best results. That’s how Scholastic Go! plans to bring in the new year when it debuts its new interface on January 15. Scholastic Go! has a fresh design with a greater focus on searching and a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.
